In October I’m having an exhibition of large works for the first time in a few years. I’ll be exploring a range of subjects in my eclectic manor . From Figures defying gravity to human’s intrusion into our forests. Keep and eye updates in late September.
Just completed a mural called Lost Cedar Forest is a ground mural expressing the rain forest floor with some added surprise fauna and a remarkable doorway.

Diving Over A Comfort Zone- A work that explores the aspect of memory that takes you back to the state of being. In this case floating of a fish while freediving
This work is one from the Deep Ocean series I occasionally add to. A pod of Sperm whales rise from the deep singing to each other. in the for ground, two tired old lounge chairs rest on the ground. A place for contemplation, either well used or long forgotten. And to the right a woman floats, rising gradually.
Is it the whale song that raises her to defy gravity? Or is it a dream state in her mind? Perhaps there is no connection but happen stance. Perhaps not.
A new work for my up coming Mini exhibition at Traffic Jam Galleries 15 – 30 March
Sky Plant, Comfortable Orchid Size 90 x 90 cm
This a work for my up coming mini exhibition of eight works at Traffic Jam Galleries in Neutral Bay, Sydney. Running March 15 – 30.
This old green, felt arm chair has a kakadama ( moss ball ) orchid floating within the chair but not touching it. Its it coincidence or is there a connection between there two? Both are depicted high above the clouds. A jarring setting for such personable items. It raises the questions, why? How?
Title: Dancing With Nautili, Size 90 x 120 cm Acrylic on Canvas
I’ve been working towards a way to include the human figure for a while and this is the best resolved attempt thus far. I’ve just sold this one through Boltspace in Maitland. A collector from Newcastle seemed to agree with me. It brings together the joy of the dancer with the isolation of a practice space. Yet the freedom to imagine flowing with the nautili as she feels the energy of the dance, transcending, if just in the moment, that isolation.
I had a lot of joy in capturing the distressed, decaying room, but what I really am happy with is the light falling across the subject from left to right.
Tool Box Falcon, Above The Clouds 106.5 x 80 cm
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
The third in my Bird of Prey portraits series. This one has a Peregrine Falcon as the subject sitting on a branch in an old bottle in a rusted toolbox. I really enjoyed pulling this one together.
